Do you find this as insulting a statement as i do?

Annie, i do not make a habit of telepathically communicating with non-existant entities. I also was not singling you out in this. You are not the only person to make this statement. Have a wonderful night.

Conspiracy Brother, i found this statement to be quite exclusionary
that is why i found it to be insulting. I had thought that acceptance and love was what Christians were about. Thank you for your reply though my friend.

Turn it around... those who are of God are not able to know or live by what a person NOT of God does.

I think your skin is a little too thin or the mind too narrow. It doesn't insult me either way the question is phrased. It's just the way things are.

Edit: :Grins.... I buy the love part, but it doesn't mean acceptance.... some stuff is acceptable, some stuff is not. If we were talkin over a beer, stuff like semantics could be handled at the moment there's a question. I imagine we'd probably have a few laughs at our own expenses in the process. Acceptance and approval and tolerance each have seperate and distinct meanings. I have to tolerate - but I don't have to accept or approve. Love doesn't mean being a door mat either. I love my kids, but I'll discipline em. I may love a buddy I've known for years, but if he slaps my woman around or the like, I have no problem breaking friendship with him. Does that make sense? hope so. cya.

Not insulted at all. I have never experienced the exalted feelings that many holy rollers have. You can tell that they truly feel the love and truly believe. I have never been in a massive group of people, all vibrating with the same feelings of love and companionship. So how could I possibly know what it is like. Why should I be insulted, I cannot believe in something that doesn't make any sense to me.
Besides, most religions claim that their God created everything, so how could anything NOT be of their God.
See, one more thing that doesn't make sense.

As a Christian, I find this a strange statement. It sort of seems to be something taken from Scripture and then twisted into something which really is not true.

What are supposed to be the characteristics of a Child of God (which I presume is meant to be a Christian)? Things like love, patience, compassion, joy, caring, sympathy, empathy, consideration, etc. Well, to say that any of these characteristics are only exhibited by a Christian is simply not true. I do know people who are not Christians who often demonstrate one or more of these characteristics. And as far as being a Child of God, to me, we are all Children of God, whether we believe in Him or not. I would never say to you that you are not a Child of God--that is between you and God, it's not up to me. Anti-gay Christians often tell me that I cannot be a Child of God. But that is not up to them either, it's between me and God. It's a cruel, horrible, arrogant thing to do when a human presumes to have the knowledge to name who is and is not a Child of God.

Hmm... it makes sense in a way... I assume you are not a Christian... The Christian belief is that when one is with God, God leads his or her actions. That would make it impossible for another person that is not led by God to have the same judgment...

The statement is not politically correct which is something i try to always worry about especially when i direct my comments to people of different faiths... I am a Christian... and I love you... that is all...

God gave regulations to the individuals, even from the previous testomony to assist them lead His way. the character of guy is so as that he chooses the on the spot excitement for it gradual on a similar time as pushing aside what ought to take place after wards. this is each and all the end results of the unique sin which made guy greater services to do the undesirable deeds than people who God meant. That replaced into and nevertheless is the character of guy. Or they spend billions on palms rather on medicine or mandatory issues. guy is unjust and not God. we could continually factor at ourselves at each and all the wickedness that ensue interior the international and not at God who's continually type, forgiving and offering, We get shocked to confirm criminals getting richer. So what, this is merely for this very couple of minutes of existence yet God is non secular and the significant ingredient is what's going to take place after the best high quality ingredient interior the international this is loss of life, that no you may purchase no longer regardless of tens of millions. stay the way of God and enable Him be your shepard, lead a god existence ina depraved international yet while the harvest comes the stable are separated from the undesirable and all get what he deserve. look forward and don't enable those issues make you doubt on God, you would be happy from this same international.

People form circles of like-minded individuals who reinforce each other's beliefs. These beliefs, being constantly reinforced come to be seen as THE TRUTH, always singular and always in upper-case letters.

Since the people inside the circle see THE TRUTH, what can we believe of people outside the circle? They either cannot see THE TRUTH, or refuse to see THE TRUTH.

Basically, "If you don't believe what we believe you are either a complete idiot, or diabolical."

I like to keep it that way.

The statement, if made by a child of God, speaks to a bit of arrogance and privilege, both of which are sinful.

Even I am of God but it doesn't mean I have to believe in him or like him. He won't let me be a rock star so I'm mad!
