Veggies and dip trays go over well...slices of apples with caramel dip are good too.

Here are some ideas for a wonderful movie night:

1. Cured meats and cheese (prosciutto sliced thin, peppered salami, sopressata, serrano ham plus provolone)
2. Marinated veges, including mushrooms and artichoke hearts, olives, cornichons
3. Spinach dip in a bread bowl (check the recipe on Knorr soup)
4. Cheese tray: cambozola, Spanish Manchenga, brie with mushrooms, Portabella Jack cheese, white cheddar
5. Artisan crackers (lavosh etc.) and thin slices of baguette
6. Fresh fruit kabobs with yogurt honey dip
7. Brownie bites, mini tarts, cookies, fudge

Quesadillas are always good, maybe a 7 layer Mexican dip, how about a cheese ball/cheese log?

This one is always a hit...

Pecan Cream Cheese Ball

2 - 8 ounce packages cream cheese – softened
1 – 8 ½ ounce can crushed pineapple, drained
2 cups (7 ½ ounce bag) pecans, chopped
¼ cup finely chopped green pepper
3 tsp finely chopped onion
1 tsp seasoned salt

Mix all; form into 1 large or 2 smaller balls. Can be frozen.

I've not made this one, but it was so good I asked for the recipe.

Cheese Logs

1 – 8 ounce package cream cheese – softened
1 jar cheddar cheese spread – softened
2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
½ teaspoon garlic salt
1 cup finely chopped pecans

Mix 1st 4 ingredients thoroughly, roll in chopped pecans. Wrap in waxed paper and chill until serving.

Chicken wings, party veggie tray, assorted cheese tray, with salami, etc. Meatballs in crockpot with bbq sauce, plenty of tooth picks. Sams Club offers a great many of these. Like the wings, cheese trays with meats that do not have to be keep cold. assorted gormet crackers, sliced bagget bread with olive oil & salt & pepper toasted.
