If you are a virgin and never used IV drugs, or had a blood transfusion, you do not have it.

If you haven't had any sexual contact with another person, had a blood transfusion (or similar), used injected drugs and your mother does not have HIV/AIDS then you will not have been exposed to HIV and will not have it.

If this doesn't put your mind at rest, by all means you can go and get tested but I think this will just give you unnecessary worry!

If you're a virgin then you should get tested if your mother has the virus, you had a blood transfusion in the early 1980s, you've come into close contact with someone's bodily fluids, or you share needles.
