Thanks everyone, I checked goggle maps and it said one day eight hours, this is however unrealistic because of course I will have to stop, I think three days will be about right, my sister is riding with me so we will share the driving.
thanks for the responses.

Van Nuys, California to Cincinnati, Ohio is a distance of roughly 2200 miles. How long it takes depends entirely on how long you want to drive each day.

Example: If you drive 500 miles each day it will take about 4 1/2 days. If you drive 700 miles each day (that's really pushing it) it will take just over 3 days, etc.

I am a retired professional driver, and after 550 continuous miles of driving I was ready to call it a day.

I am going to estimate 2-days . . . But you might have to do some extra nighttime driving though. It's around 700 miles to Salt Lake City from where you are . . . So, you can add another one of those distances . . . I suspect.

31 hours, divide this by the number of hours you feel comfortable with driving each day.

Go to mapquest.com, it will tell you, but it is usually a little longer than it really takes.

Yikes, could you fly and buy X'mas gifts when you get there?
That trip sounds dreadful...
