Prime rib here too. Twice baked potatoes. Grilled shrimp. Calamari salad. Ice wine and Champagne. Merry Christmas to you also .

Obviously with Prime Rib I'd suggest a very good Cabernet Sauvignon. You need a heavy Red with strong berry undertones to complement a fatty (no criticism intended) meat. I think any California Cab (French would be magnifique!) that's older than 5 years should suffice. Merlot is too young. A great summer wine. I absolutely love your supper menu! Traditional and warm! Merry Christmas!!!!

We are having roast turkey and a rib roast, mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, a sweet potato casserole, Lime Jello salad, green bean casserole, homemade rolls, cranberry sauce, a relish tray with sweet and dill pickles, green and black olives, carrot and celery sticks, and deviled egges and lots of family and friends come to dinner.

A California (red) Merlow or even a Ros'e.

With that meal you should have a nice red wine.
