rather than give you the name of an animal I would suggest you read "Last chance to see" by douglas adams - he undertakes a mission to visit as many endangered animals as he can - excellent read!

how long have you got!!!! there are loads just maybe not all just big things like lions, tigers and pandas.
Look on CITES website who grade the level of danger of extinction each species faces
