sugar is elastic word containing mono saccharides as glucose fructose and di sacc and tri sacc and complex one as starch which upon degradation yield glucose it is formed of glucose linked to gether via alpha link also cellulose formed from glucose linked together via beta linkage all at the end is carb

Starch is many individual sugar molecules bound together.

the other way round, starches are sugars. EVERYTHING is broken down by the body into sugars, as that is what the cells require for metabolism.
