Islam discourages showing off, but there are certain jobs which require self projection kinda like showing off, u know jobs like marketing, advertisng(halaal objects)

My question is that are these jobs halal then?

if the marketing and the advertising are halaal I think that is okey, you are advertising your products right and not yourself. you know what I mean.

if ur honest, and don't lie
(there was a story about a Muslim guy in the older days who used to deal with these things. this guy told everybody what the problems were with the things he sold. if he didn't, whatever money he made from that thing, he gave to charity)

if the product is actully what the sellers claim it to be than there wont be any need to show off, u just tell em the truth

if u are in the market & u have to sell your product than u have to tell people about it, than if u r advertising things than there is nothing wrong with it because u r doing it to sell your products but you dont have to sell yourself , so you should stay in hijjab if u r coming in contact with namehrams but if ur customers are ladies than i think its ok to not wear hijab.

If you are in full hijab and an honest muslim I see nothing wrong in advertising the PRODUCT and not yourself.

youre not really "showing it off" out of vanity. Youre promoting and advertising its purchase. two different concepts.
