It seems to me that some are afraid to go into to the letters Christ had written to his people. Could it be that we are afraid to look at our own state of condition but can judge the works of those in the world. I read views on atheist, homosexuals, pagans form the bible but what about us who say indeed we follow Jesus. Remember i am including my church as because we are christians. Well you accept the challenge ? Or will you ignore sound doctrine which can often be disreguard by professed people of God ?

Rev.1:20 - 3:22 " The seven candlesticks which thou saw are the seven churches..."

The letters Christ had written is revelations, I brought it up as a disscussion for those that understood why they was written. It deals with each christian era or age and the letter to the Laodicean Church is the last age and letter. None was written by himself personally but the inspired word of God is books of messages to his people.

As far as those who been in churches that has taught on the letters that are neglected by the whole christiandom but are heard by the few. My question remains, in what ways do you see it fitting for our time or present age.

Here is my view on the subject, many are mentioning those things it speaks about from a surface point of view. There are doctrines upheld that we may need that eyeslave to see it is error for example. Eyeslave means healing balm but the eyes/spiritual is used for discernment. What is in good will, as to understanding his word ?

The four gospels are not epistles (letters).
Jesus did not write any epistles.
Paul's epistles are frequently used in churches as are those of John, Jude, etc. The letters to the churches in the book of Revelation are also used. So your answer? None of the above.
Also by "threw out" do you mean "throughout"?

The letters of Jesus are not spoken of in churches as they don't exist.

I think you should have a "D - All of the above"

The letter of Christ in Revelations are important, the gospels are important, the letters of Paul are important, all the rest of the New Testament is important, all the Old Testament is important. As you reference from Timothy: All Scripture is God-breathed, and profitable for instruction etc.
In our local church I have been a member for more than twenty-five years, and I have heard two full sermon sets on the seven churches, and our current minister is in the midst of the third (now interrupted by a Christmas series).
I hope the seven letter are not neglected. The lessons are huge: Don't forsake the love you had at first, Don't be lukewarm to the gospel, don't fear persecution etc.

I agree that we need to keep studying to avoid " My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." (Hosea 4:6) I believe that it needs to be a knowledge of heart and mind, and practiced in word and through and deed. (See Col 3, and many more)

May this also be a blessing to everyone!

Could you clarify your question?

Nobody likes looking at their shortcomings, but we can't do anything about them unless we do.

It is not all fear it is also a lack of understanding. That part of the Bible is deep and some find it hard to understand.
