Yes, there isn't any. Herpes is caused by a virus. Actually, there is little cure for viruses nowadays. The only thing that you can generally do in the case of a viral infection is strengthen the immune system and hope it fights it off. Not with Herpes, the immune system can't win against it. Thus you only get to treat the symptoms. Once you're infected, it stays with you for life. So don't get infected.

Personal experience. I have had genital herpes for over 5 years.

There is no cure for herpes. you should tell her the truth. This virus is contagious when you have an outbreak, so you better off telling her, no surprises.

Whether is Herpes simples virus type 1 (cold sores/mouth) or type 2 (genital area) explain to her that there are several triggers to get the outbreaks. However, if you get plenty of sleep, relax and calm down. That can prevent it, but with no cure.
There is treatment, over the counter staff, but I recommend and anti-viral, because it reduces the time of the virus from 5-10 days to 2-5 days. it has to be prescribed, so check with your doctor.

Its very uncomfortable to have this condition, but if you try to stay away from stress, less outbreaks will occur.
hope this helps!!!

First I am sorry for you because there is no cure however there are some treatments that can help you live with it.

Since herpes is usually spread through sexual intercourse it is imperative than any sexual partner know about it so they can decide for them selves if they want to take the risk. No drug is 100% so always use a condom and always be honest , If she really loves you she will work with you .

u just have to tell her. take a private moment, be honest and talk to her preferably not in public. if she really loves u she would want to be with u no mater what. but she may get up set at u for possably giving her an std, since u don't know for how long u have had herpes. u may want to suggest to her that she get tested as well since u could have passed it on to her. then its her choice to stay with u or not.

when i tell people, i am amazed how many don't know anything about it. i made sure i had lots of information so i could inform them. once people know the truth about it, they don't seem to be so freaked out by it. in the 8 years i have had it i have only been turned down once. (i always tell around 1st kiss) my fiancee even said he might as well catch it and get it over with. it was really sweet in his own little weird way.

great place for info... webMD

My boyfriend just told me after we've been together along time and I got tested and I dont have it thank GOD. Anyways just tell her if she really likes you it wont matter it just means extra precautions. Make sure you tell her HOW you think you got it. Honesty is TRULY the best policy!

What do you mean, "you don't know how to tell your girlfriend?" What a silly thing to say. Just tell her the truth and get treated, then worry about the how and whys.
