There is a group listed by community on Yahoo called "Freecycle" where people can post items they no longer want and people who want the items can request and make arrangement for pickup.

Check this site for the location nearest you: http://www.freecycle.org/. Then you could join a local group (or more groups if you live in or near a large city) in your area to post for recycling...both donating and searching for something recyclable.

I'm new here so I don't know if I'm in the right place. I was directed to this website to find help for a family, one of my neighbors. Their house burnt down this morning and it was a total loss. They have children who will need clothing. The boy is in elementary school and a girl who is in 9th grade. ANY help or ANY info would be much appreciated.
