If I were you I would get a chest X-Ray, then seek the advice of a Pulmonologist, this can be serious. I had the same symptom and it ended up being Sarcoidosis, my doctor could not find it, I finally requested a specialist and he found it. Don't gamble with your life.

Do you smoke? do you have a sinus condition, a cold, any or all of these could be contributing to your cough. It could also be a habit you've picked up from someone near you. We tend to do these things also.
Get a bag of Hacks cough drops and suck on them, they'll help with a dry throat.
