It's ok, but the results will differ from your BP while sitting. The standard tables are compiled with the patients sitting.

no it isnot ok because it my tell you false reading and it is good your hand shoul be placed on the level of the heart while measuring

your bp will be elevated if you measure it while standing

u can stand...but its best if u are sitting. if u are sitting that is your resting heart rate.
