GET to the doctors NOW. My mother just lost her leg a week ago thanks to putting off an infected abcess on her foot. She's a Type2 diabetic. They operated on the abcess and put in pump/sponge for a few days. When they went to remove the pump, they did a bone scan and saw the infection had gotten to the bone. She lost her leg 5" from below the knee. All this from putting off an infected toe..which led to the foot..and then to the leg. Get off the keyboard and go straight to the doctor adn get it taken care of NOW.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

I too am a type 2 diabetic and infections for us are very serious. I've had to have abscesses drained and even glands removed due to infection and it is not a big deal. However, staph infections, which i have had also, are severely serious and need to be taken care of right away even for the healthiest of ppl. No other options, holistic or otherwise, should even be considered.

If you're diabetic and have any type of infection on your foot you want it taken care of ASAP or you risk losing your foot, or leg. My great uncle went through a similar problem post foot surgery (also type 2 diabetic). Stapth infections can also be very serious depending on the strain. Some are highly resistant to antibiotics and can be hard to treat require strong IV antibiotics. Get this taken care of soon and hopefully you will be fine and start healing properly.

I don't think draining an abscess is a major operation. It can be a good idea because antibiotics that you take are often not very effective on abscesses because you don't have circulation in there and because the hyperosmotic (salty, basically) environment of the pus can protect bacteria from being killed by antibiotics that break down the cell wall. I guess you could just take antibiotics and hope for the best, but I wouldn't do that if I were you.

You must get this taken care of right away. Do not delay. Any kind of a foot infection can be a very serious matter for a person living with diabetes. As to the actual procedure, your doctor can give you all the details, so don't be afraid to ask.

I am sure that a long course in antibiotics is another option, however that might take some time and there is risk that the infection will get worse, perhaps even getting into the bone. I had an MRSA infection in my foot that did just that with the result that my leg had to be amputated.

With a staph infection it could be very serious. Take your doctor's advise and have him drain it and keep your fingers crossed that they can knock out the staph infection.

Yes, you could lose the foot. Don't mess around with this. Go to a Doctor and get the surgery. God only gives out two feet to a customer.
