You have to have willpower. Start slowly, little by little decrease the amount of meat you eat until it feels comfortable to just not eat any.

Whenever you feel like eating meat eat something made of soy protein, personally, the garden-burger chick'n patties taste just like chicken, but are vegetarian. However, chicken and fish are good meats, its the sausages and hamburgers you want to avoid. A rule to go by basically is that White is good and Red is bad. Either way, you can find all types of "meats" made with soy proteins that taste just the same. Also, if you want to start eating healthier, try to increase the amount of greens (vegetables), you eat in comparison to carbs and meats. Hope this helps!

Stop eating meat? That's a start towards becoming vegetarian. You can make your own pizzas with meat analogues. You can crumble tempeh into chili and spaghetti sauce.

becoming a veg. doesn't make you healthier. Having meat once in a while isn't unhealthy. I would stay a meat eater and just cut back on the meat you eat. Chicken breasts without the skin are very healthy. Try chicken on pizza- it's quite good. I love bbq chicken pizza.

Check out http://www.tryveg.com/cfi/toc/ and http://www.vegcooking.com/makingthetransition.asp for transition tips.

Basically, find ways to modify your favorite meals so they're vegetarian. If you love spaghetti and meatballs, try some faux meatballs like Nate's Meatless Meatballs. The fake meats taste differently, so try a variety of them until you find the ones you like.

Here's a list of some of the best faux meats:

eat cheese pizza instead?
Stop eating meat. If you are very strong in your beliefs of why you shouldn't eat meat, not eating it is easy.
