I went to a friends Chinese wedding banquet. I think it was 8 or 9 courses, plus wedding cake. All that food was new to me and I over-ate. I was stuffed to the point my bellyached.
My heaviest meal
The first course was some type of appetizer tray with ham, jellyfish, shredded chicken.
Shark Fin Soup
Roasted Chicken
Peking Duck and buns
Seafood (scallops and shrimp) with vegetables
Deep Fried Squab
Beef and vegetables
Sea Cucumber with Shittake Mushrooms
Cashew Chicken

I had one of those $50 hamburgers once, the filet mignon burgers, stuffed with foie gras, topped with a grlled portabello mushroom, an onion ring and served with garlic mayo, a spicy homemade ketchup and served on a brioche roll.
I was leaving Singapore and had a last night fling, I tasted it all the way back to Canada on the plane, and my meal was a steak on the flight. One other night before I left we when to a place that sold real traditional Indian food, no plates all was serve on a Banana leaf, the resaurant was called the Banana Leaf/Apollo, we had a hot vindaloo, and the house specialty, Fish Head Curry, I will remember that few days for a long time.

By weight I do not recall. By calorie, carbohydrate & fats - probably my mother in law's ravioli. The first time I had ever eaten real Italian food. I'm not a big eater when it comes to quantity, however, that meal was an epiphany! I have been devoted to Italian cuisine ever since. Bless her, I wish she were here today for more reasons than food but I would love to taste that flavour again. Tried for many years to duplicate it and she even taught me. Her son, my husband, says it's the same. Perhaps that wonderful feeling is remembered only by me & because she had made her specialty for me on our first dinner together. Memories are wonderful things sometimes. My family loves my ravioli too. I miss hers and to be practical it is probably because I miss her a lot. Wonderful lady.

My mother would make this dish she called "Texas Hash" It had diced potatoes, ground beef, onions, peppers and pork-n-beans. It was a "money's tight this week, dish" and there was 6 people to feed.
She seasoned it with the usual salt, pepper, garlic, but the kicker was the BBQ sauce.
This dish was always so thick because of the potatoes. It would fill you up easily with one bowl.
I make it now in the winter, my husband calls it a "stick to your ribs" meal that is perfect for those cold nights.

I once had a mutton casserole that had cooled so much that you cold taste the fat in it.
This was years before it became populars to remove fat from meat.
