I don't boil cabbage. I 'fry' it.

Start with a bit of cut up bacon in the pan. Once it is about half done, add some chopped up onions. Cook the two for a bit and then add the cabbage. Stir around a bit. Put a lid on the pan and let the ingredients steam-cook. Turn over fairly often. Add salt and pepper part way through the cooking and you have a yummy side dish.

Boil as briefly as possible in an open pot. Cut a small cabbage into fourths or a larger one into eighths or chop coarsely or into thick slices and boil for 4 to 9 minutes

I would like to answer a previous question you asked. If my memory proves correct, you asked for ideas for the Yahoo!Answers conference in Washington DC. Lately, I have been reading answers to some of the questions posted on here giving malicious responses or simply stating, "2 points," as their answer. As we all know, best response rewards 10 points. How about deducting (10) points for the response receiving the most thumbs down? Perhaps then we might see more intelligent and insightful responses. I know we all have our own opinions, but we also have our votes. Just a thought.

you could completely bake it interior the oven! i'm particular you're able to desire to shred it for sandwiches, yet i'm uncertain how the flavour could be with bbq sauce. Corned purple meat is a brisket that been injected with a brine, which makes it extra salty and on occasion the brine has different spices in it as nicely. you're able to desire to do an Irish take on the pulled purple meat sandwich and shred custom corned purple meat and placed it on the roll with kraut and mustard. you additionally can roast it interior the oven with greens, like potatoes, carrots and onion. some human beings additionally roast it with a mustard glaze, as a substitute of only the classic pickling spices. :)
