Mesothelioma is a rare cancer that is caused by exposure to to asbestos. It is lung cancer but in some cases mesothelioma is cancer forms around the abdominal cavity or the area around the heart.
There is currently no cure for Mesothelioma.

Mesothelioma is cancer due to asbestosis - cancer of the mesothelial lining of the lungs. It is usually terminal at diagnosis as it presents very few symptoms until that point. It is a wicked disease that kills 95% of it's victims. The typical life expectancy after diagnosis is 6 months to a year. There are few if any effective treatments for this disease and the best chance of survival lies in very early detection and screening if there is a history of known asbestos exposure.
