there is this girl that i really like and we have been best friends since seventh grade. we are now freshman in high school. is it okay for us to go out and do you think it would workout?

Yes, but you have to think about the fact that if it does not work out you will have to see her every day at school. Also, you might lose your friendship with her if things go badly...not to mention some of your mutual friends who side with her. I've been in similar situations in the past so I might sound negative. But things could go well too, a friendship is a great way to lead into a relationship. Good luck.

tough 1. i did that we got together lasted a year finished became friends but seemed to drift our separate ways rarely see other now.
but go for it cause believe me u drift from the closest of friends with work or other boyfriends go for it surely. like even if it dont work sure do u really think that in 10 years maybe when u both wit different people have kids u will still have as much time to see other. believe me u dont
it could work out an u could still be together in 40years give it a go

its a classic. If it works out, it would be good since you both get along so well. however, you also risk getting the line "i like you like a friend". It could also make your current relationship uneasy. So if I were you, i'd test the waters and really pay attention to how the other person acts to you. Do not go and directly come out and say lets be together. That almost always never works.

childhood sweathearts. I once was in that situation and passed it by. Jeanie ended up marring Triphone the greek and having 5 kids. Just do things on dates that you both like to do, continue the friendship. Just hold hands more, and start by kissing goodbye, then kissing hello, then kissing for no reason. Ease into it , try it on, see how it feels.

The chances of these relationship is pretty high... Go for it, if your not shy to ask her out. Take a shot, if that don't work out you still have couple more years to find a high school sweetheart. ;)

I think it would be a good idea. I just would think that if it doesn't work out it would change the best friendship or eliminate it, so be careful.

if she likes u back, then it would work out great. BUT it gets kind of wierd if u go out, then break up it seems very akward, and would jeperodize ur friendship. take the chance and ask her out.
