We know they exsisted at one time. The bible also says that God created the Heavens nd Earth in seven days, but if we know Dinos are real and Christains belive that God did in fact create the earth in seven days and its only six thousand years old, how can you explain that?? Oh i know, maybe God got bored and decided to create Dinosaurs so he could watch them eat people, God has done plenty of other cruel things. Anyways I want to know what you Christians think of this.

When primitive man created God, and later wrote the Bible, he would have no idea what had roamed the earth before him.

If God had really existed he would have told him!

Kangaroos and chipmunks aren't mentioned in the Bible either and yet I know they exist. Christians are not the only people who believe in the biblical stories. They are the only ones who have the New Testament but they share the rest with the Jews and the Muslims also share the history up until Abraham.

Our world is a mysterious and complex place still full of undiscovered animals and plant life. I am a Christian and I am not concerned with the timeline of creation. It's a mystery, how we got here - the scientists only have theories and ideas but not a complete picture. Dinosaurs existed but certainly not at the same time that people did so there would be no way for any of them to have eaten a human as mammals (rodent like creatures to start) did not come into being until the very end of the age of dinosaurs and humans arrived on the scene even later than that. For me as a Christian, what matters is that God created the heavens and the earth - the how and the why doesn't matter to me. I love learning more about this great world that we live in and look forward to our scientists finding out more about the past.

At the time the bible was written and read for the first time, the people didn't know about dinosaurs. God obviously was planning to let us humans discover dinosaurs by ourselves, without Him having to blurt it out. Which we did successfully.

In addition, there are more important things to learn from the bible than about dinosaurs that became extinct ages ago and does not have an effect on the present.

People should study science. Dinosaurs became extinct 60-70 million years ago. People in the biblical times knew very little about science and just made up stories that later turned into religion. Dinosaurs were not discovered until people started digging things up, asking questions, and applying the scientific method.

Being that the word dinosaurs didn't come about until later you won't find that word in there. If you're looking for the word rattlesnake, cougar, butterfly, hippopotamus, owl, armadillo, gecko, dolphin, or moose you won't find them as well. Does that mean the bible denies all of those things exist? Absolutely not. What would be an explanation of what happened to them from a biblical perspective? Dinosaurs were not able to live in a post-flood world. The world had changed drastically so much that 1. people didn't live as long as before the flood (check the ages)2. people plants and animals didn't grow as big as before. The things that could adjust survived, the things that couldn't died off. Numerous large dinosaurs had nostrils no bigger than that of a horse. In a world with less of an oxygen content post-flood meant that an animal used to living in an oxygen rich environment would simply die of suffocation. And as far as credit goes let's give credit where credit is due. Man, man himself has done plenty of cruel things. Give man his due and don't shift blame to God.
I have to keep from getting agitated, in this world where information is at your fingertips, at christians who can't take the time to investigate other theories concerning dinosaurs, creation, and the bible and relating it to science. The only reason christians jump to the conclusion that dinosaurs existed before humans is because science says the world is billions of years old. If people knew how far reaching science is in some of its theories and how one simple variable throws some of the dating techniques out the window they would think twice before typing.

I would offer that there were dinosaurs and that God created them - as everything. Please see Job 40:15 and try and explain the description of the "behemoth." There is nothing an earth that looks like this today but it sure sounds like a saur of some kind.
Do not be deceived and think that Job (inspired God's word) does not know what he is saying.
Continue on to Job 41. Consider the leviathan. Start a new life in the Word today and seek His counsel. Perhaps you will see truth for the first time in your life. Gird up YOUR loins!

They are!

There is a great description of dinosaurs in Job 40:15-24,
Possibly the biggest land animal God had created, the "behemoth" moved his tail like a cedar tree. Although some Bible commentaries say this may have been an elephant or hippopotamus, the description actually fits that of a dinosaur like Brachiosaurus. Elephants and hippos certainly do not have tails like cedar trees!

God created all creatures, he doesn't list them one by one; his greatest creation, mankind; how do you know how God measures time by the same clock that you possess?? God must get bored with people so full of self that they don't see the wonder of the creation; the universe works well without us; we are protected , provided for in every way from oxygen to atmosphere to the organs that work in harmony within us; no one on this earth can tell you anything with certainty; you see, hear and feel and disregard all that is in your grasp and outside of it ; man once thought the earth was flat ; God isn't cruel, man in his selfishness and self attitude is.

um, mastermind, the bible does say god created the earth in 7 days. technically 6 because on the seventh day he rested.

Now as for your question, it's a good one that i never thought of, but i was speaking with a catholic once who told me they believe that the term day is used to represent roughly a million years, so then, the theory of evolution works with their religion. I found this interesting, though it still doesn't exactly explain dinosoars does it? Maybe noah forgot to get them on his ark and thats how died? LOL
