...give a girl (who he doesn't know very well), a kiss on the cheek.
Motive for asking is that a guy randomly walked over to me at a party and gave me a really nice kiss on the cheek...smiled at me, asked how i was and then walked off!
Is it a sign he likes me?

Not always. Being a man and a huge flirt myself, I can say that its always better to have more than one woman swoon in a room. Pecks on the cheak get this going. However, if I were interested in you, I wouldn't have walked away.
