I would not be offended at all if someone wanted to name a bear Jesus and I am a Christian. It was a teddy bear, a toy for children. I wish that certain groups would spend more time trying to make their own nations better by feeding their people and encouraging economic growth instead of punishing people for unintentional offenses.

I love Jesus and considering that love is what most kids do with their teddy, I think its a great name for a Teddy Bear. But then it wouldn't be a teddy bear anymore, it would be a Jesus Bear. Which brings me to wonder if anyone ever Jailed or flogged for naming a stuffed animal after an american president?

I think jesus would be happy at least your thinking of him and holding him close all night. What he wants anyway! Addendum: those that think we need to defend Christ are misled our job is to resemble him as closely as we can God is love therefore Jesus is love,If someone finds joy in naming a teddy Bear Jesus praise be to god that they remenber our lord and saviour. agnostic 's are chicken cant make a decision one way or another atheist are fools because the fail to reconize what has been given out of love and compassion,He and I still love you no matter what you believe or say he will never forsake you hell never give up on you. Be very carefull he who seeks truly finds. You are being prayed for>

Do not believe that the West is by any means free of extremist religious laws and those who would prosecute them.

Extremist Christians in the UK brought a case in the Westminster Magistrates court under ancient blasphemy laws against the producers of the musical "Jerry Springer: The Musical" because it did not agree with their world view.

The case was thrown out, but they plan to appeal. They would seek, if possible, imprisonment for the offence.

The fault is with religion.

You have brought up such an important point...
Since many Christians in America are 'apathetic', and don't want to get involved, are selfish, and just want to do their own thing, absolutely NOTHING would happen. THIS is the reason why so many nonbelievers don't understand nor want anything to do with Christianity...it is a shame that there are so many 'watered-down' self-proclaimed believers of Christ. Such a shame. They don't 'stand up' for their religion, 'tis sad.

No problem... but please don't do it here on YA Q&A you may be suspended!

I wouldn;t be surprise if somebody calls a Teddy bear "G-d Damn!"... at least once... I wonder if the Muslims ever do an "All-h Damn!" at anything!
