For Cheapest hotel around shopping area, try Caritas Bianchi Lodge. It's at Yau Ma Tei area and Temple Street, Jade Market and Ladies Market are all within walking distance from the hotel. The rates are from HK$500 for Twin Room / Double Bed Room.
Address: 4 Cliff Rd., Kowloon, Hong Kong. It's also only about 5 min walk to Yau Ma Tei MTR Station.

For Disneyland, from Caritas Bianchi Lodge, take the citybus no. R21 from Public Square Street, Nathan Road directly to Disneyland Public Transport Interchange. HK$32, approx. 40 min. Schedule: Every Monday to Friday: 08:50, 09:10. Every Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays: 08:50, 09:10, 09:30. For outside this timing, you can take A21 to North Lantau Highway near Lantau Link Toll Gate (towards Airport) & transfer R8 to Disneyland Public Transport Interchange. A21: Hk$33, 40 min. R8: HK$7, 10 min.

From other places in Kowloon, New Territories, Lantau Island, Chek Lap Kok and from Shen Zhen, bus is a better bet as its more direct than taking MTR and the fare is more or less the same. For Shen Zhen, Chek Lap Kok and Lantau Island, this is the only way to access to Disneyland apart from coaches and taxi. From HK Island, however, MTR is cheaper and faster than bus. Take Island line to Central Station and walk to Hong Kong Station and transfer to Tung Chung line. Alight @ Sunny Bay Station and transfer again to Disneyland Resort line directly to Disneyland Station. Use the Octopus card will get you cheaper fare than cash.

Disney's Hollywood Hotel is cheaper with rates from HK$1,210 for Garden View for its value rate, compared to Hong Kong Disneyland's Hotel from HK$1,760 for same type as above.

You should go to travel agencies like Gray line Tours or China Travel Service (CTS) for cheaper tours than the Disneyland itself as its got better value package that may include others place nearby. They both also sell F&E package for Disneyland itself and the ticket itself too.

Hope the above can answer all your doubts on your question.

The cheapest hotel around is the Dragon Hostel

http://www.dragonhostel.com/

It is on 85 Argyle St. To get to Disney Land, take the MTR and then transfer to the Disney land route, you can't miss it.

Go to http://www.mtr.com.hk to check out the website to find out the route. There is no need for tour as the disneyland is very small. I would go to Ocean Park instead!

The cheapest way to travel is by Bus, however, MTR is faster. Get an octopus card.

Actually you don't need to stay close to Disneyland. It is very expensive to stay close to that place.

Here's what I can suggest. If possible, get an apartment in Sheung Shui or Fanling area where you can easily get into Shenzhen in just minutes. Getting to Disneyland from Sheung Shui or Fanling is fast and easy and you can read in here...

Shenzhen is a sub-provincial city of Guangdong province in southern China. Although this city is famous for its extreme proximity with the boundary of Hong Kong, it is at least 25km away from the core urban area of Hong Kong. Shenzhen is a centre of foreign investment and since the late 1970s has been one of the fastest growing cities in the world..........
