Although I would suggest a doctors opinion first. This could be anything and, I won't even go into it. You do have a nerve from the stomach that comes through here, if you have indigestion this sometimes can act like a heart attack, that's why it's important to see the doctor, he can make the difference in your life.

it is acidity or gastritis if u have overeaten
it is due to breathlessness if u are overweight
it is due to love-sickness if wife, or GF, or both away
it is due to exposure if u have dared to open chest to the winter wind
and if u are dead by now then it was a severe heart attack

If you are young this could be just acidity.You can take tab containing famotidine 40mg daily at bed time or cap Omeprazole at bed time for a week or so.In older people a heart condition should be ruled out by consulting a M.D. in Medicine or a cardiologist

Tough call. If it's the ONLY problem You have, it's probably heartburn. If You experience numbness on one side of Your body, amoung other symptoms, better go see Doc. It might be a (mild) heart attack.
