you don't port and polish you engine, it is either your intake or head. you could lose power if you don't know what you are doing. if you having it professionally done maybe 10-12 hp max at high rpm. just port match the intake to the head.

You won't gain very much, especially in a 1.5 liter engine. I would say 2 hp if your lucky. I also see a lot of loud muffler/cat back exhaust systems buzzing around and you really don't get much out of those either except either a cool sound or usually an annoying sound. I never understood why young tuners try to increase power with those when the most restrictive part of your exhaust is the catylic converter. Removing the cat is illegal but they do make high flow universal ones...
Anyways with no power adders like a turbo, supercharger, nitrous, higher compression pistons, etc... Your hp gains will be low on a 1.5 liter even if you did the works like a larger intake , throttlebody, intake manifold, port/polish, headers, cat, exhaust. I would guestimate about 15 hp for all that money spent...
Factory engines can handle low boost safely, about 5-8 psi depending on compression ratio. I would guestimate again that on a 1.5 liter engine you would get about 10 hp per psi of boost. Thats 50hp if you play it safe... You can't just force air in your engine though. Your gonna have to do your research and find out how to get the fuel and ignition timming right for your type of car. (If you go with turbo/supercharger) Sorry for the long answer I love turbos.......

Just smoothing out the ports almost no gain. Actually going in with templates and really hog out metal pressing in larger valve seats bigger valves and stronger valve springs NOW YOUR TALKING! Tiny 1.5 liter fiat Abarth in the 1960's made 150 hp on the race track and could wind up to 8,000 rpm's Nissan Engine probably will do better than that! Don't forget to use high octane fuel. Polish the combustion chambers and shave the cyl head. Exhaust headers are a must in addition to free flow exhaust. Good luck

You might get 1 or 2hp tops. But you might also get an extra mile per gallon too. Not sure why they just don't port the heads at the factory?

unless you get a cam, higher compression and or a turbo you won't notice much.
