Since when did the roman institution today follow the bible? 'It' had departed so far, so long ago!!
That is the problem of the deceitful persons of today; what is witness in truth and love for the salvation of souls; they wrested it to claim that it is hatred!...........because they cannot receive the love of the Truth..............

It was at the point that PROTESTANTS wanted to justify the schism from the catholic church. It is understandable since every denomination of protestants, the Eastern orthodox, Russian orthodox and Roman catholic church are all claiming to be the "Real One' You forget that even the catholic church has at least 3 divisions. The next in line is the Church of England and the Lutherans, The Calvanists (Congregationals) follow with the Presbyterians and the next leverl are the Methodists, Baptists and most of the other tag-alongs and dissenters. All of them argueing over exactly how to worship this one imaginary god. Funny thing is, when all is said and done, none of it will make any difference. Fade to black and it is over.
Like all politics today the best way to make your point is to pull the other guy down. So the "christians" rank the catholics so people will believe these "christians (Protestants) have the real story. The Roman, Russian and Eastern orthodox all claim to the the real church. It is all just nonsense. Kids fighting over nothing in the sand box. "My brother is gigger than yours..."

Well i was a catholic,
In our organization we do not mock or spit on others, but we do speak out against all of false religion, mainly christendom because it is like the Catholic Church and others that have abused the name of Jesus and God.
It is the bible that is the authority in what determines how a christiean is to behave, how its elders are to be selected and so on. Most of Christendom does not follow the bible standards period.
Like the King James Bible, it is not from God, but it is one of the most printed Bibles . Note this, many Bibles have the name of God Jehovah, but the new version King James has removed it completely. Is that more accurate or are they trying to mislead the people yet once again. A christian is ordained not by man but by God, And man that observes him is also selected by applying the Bibles standards 1 Timothy.
I am not a better person, but i do live a better life because of understanding the Bible and Gods purpose he has not only for me but for everyone else.

It wasn't that long ago? Where have you been? Not even bringing up all the other religions out there. Just in Christianity there have been a growing number of churches as one does not agree with another they break off into a new church (still Christian) but with their own set of rules which others would not agree with it will continue as it has been. It just proves they do not no what to believe in.

Because the Catholic church doesn't live by the bible. How do you justify priests blessing weapons of war or child molesting or even something like celibacy. It says in the bible that spiritual leaders should be husbands of only one wife. There are hundreds of faults in the catholic believe. Oh yeah they even tell you you don't need to read the bible because the priest will doe it for you. How do you know what is right or wrong if you don't prove it to yourself.

One reason: They reject apostolic authority. Every objection, including those of our friend up there -- the south end of a donkey, with his cut and paste -- to Catholic doctrine or teaching goes straight back to this. Whether they pull out a laundry list ("why do you do this, why do you do that, prove this, prove that from the Bible") or just hammer on one specific doctrine which their own misconception informs them is "wrong", it is the authority of the Church to define doctrine (an authority handed down from the apostles) that they protest against. Everything else is just window-dressing.

Settlement represents Church’s largest payout in sexual abuse scandal on account of sexual abuse by catholic church.
LOS ANGELES - The nation’s largest Catholic archdiocese will settle its clergy sex abuse cases for at least $600 million, by far the largest payout in the church’s sexual abuse scandal, The Associated Press learned Saturday.
Attorneys for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the plaintiffs will release a statement Sunday morning and hold a news conference Monday, said Ray Boucher, the lead plaintiff’s attorney.
An anonymous source with knowledge of the deal placed its value at $660 million, by far the largest payout in the church’s sexual abuse scandal. The amount exceeded earlier reports from sources that the settlement would be between $600 million and $650 million — $1.2 million and $1.3 million per plaintiff.
Priests’ files would be released
Some Roman Catholic orders — the Servites, Clairites and Oblates — will be carved out of the agreement because they refused to participate, the source said. The settlement also calls for the release of confidential priest personnel files after review by a judge assigned to oversee the litigation, Boucher said.
The settlements push the total amount paid out by the U.S. church since 1950 to more than $2 billion, with about a quarter of that coming from the Los Angeles archdiocese.
It wasn’t immediately clear how the payout would be split among the insurers, the archdiocese and several Roman Catholic religious orders. A judge must sign off on the agreement.
The release of the priest documents was important to the agreement, Boucher said, because it could reveal whether archdiocesan leaders were involved in covering up for abusive priests.
“Transparency is a critical part of this and of all resolutions,” he said

They say we worship idols, pray to Mary, use Rosary beads. Have statues in our homes. They have been told time and time again what we do and why we do it ,but they will not listen. They don't want to know the truth, because this way they can keep attacking Catholics, ridiculing their beliefs which makes them feel superior.

The fact that people of God disagree with one another from time to time does not make God not exist. Paul and Peter had their disagreements and it is recorded in the Bible, the important thing is to not let those disagreements shatter our fellowship in the Lord.
