This should settle the argument forever and ever ... Courtesy of Little Texas:
I've seen a lot of places
I've been around the world
I've seen some pretty faces
Been with some beautiful girls
But after all I've witnessed one thing still amazes me
Just like a miracle you have to see to believe
'Cause God blessed Texas with His own hand
Brought down angels from the promised land
Gave 'em a place where they could dance
If you wanna see heaven brother here's your chance
I've been sent to spread the message
God blessed Texas
First He lit sunshine
Then He made the waters deep
Then He gave us moonlight
For all the world to see
Well everybody knows that the Lord works in mysterious ways
He took a rest then on the very next day
God blessed Texas with His own hand
Brought down angels from the promised land
Gave 'em a place where they could dance
If you wanna see heaven brother here's your chance
I've been sent to spread the message
God blessed Texas

If you wanna see heaven brother here's your chance

God blessed Texas

God blessed Texas
Well I've been sent to spread the message
Mmm...God blessed Texas

:) Texas is God's country.
Since Texas is part of America, then America is God's country too, but I guess Texas is the heart of God's country.
Ok, so for all of you who don't get it, country as in land, not country as in an independent nation formed by man and accepted as such by the rest of the world. A good example of both uses of the word would be: I was raised in the country, in the state of Texas, in the country of the United States of America.
And to be technical, Texas COULD be a country all it's own. It still has that right. Texas was a country before it voluntarily joined the United States. By way of the treaty that it entered under, Texas can leave the US anytime it wants to and re-establish it's sovereignty as an independent nation. It can also divide itself into up to six seperate states.
As for Bush, I didn't know he was "God's chosen President."
EDIT: Glad to see you back!

Well Texas, by popular vote is NOT a country so I guess America wins by default.
And Yes, Bush will hold a well deserved seat in heaven. God always did like a good underdog and George has certainly played the political underdog idea to perfection. Shucks, 'dem Dems still don't know they'er beat.

God's actually not Jewish. God was at the beginning which at the beginning there were no Jewish...there was the ancestors of the Israelites which included Judah (jewish lineage).
anyway. It's Texas! Because God loves Walker, Texas Ranger as much as the next person. And President Bush's term is almost over and he can't run again...so no.
lol.

If you really belive in the Bible and that all truth lies within, then you must also believe that Isreal is the chosen country AND that the Jews - not christians - are the "Chosen ones". That must be true because, according to these christian fundamentalists, the bible is undisputed truth.]
Obviously, they have a highly selective belief in the "Truth" that the bible tells. Funny isn't it. The Bible is absolute truth but only some truths are really true. The rest we don't talk about.

Can't help it, everything is bigger here in Texas. It's Texas and the rest of the world. Of course, a new yorker would say it's nyc and the rest of the world.

I am not Jewish, But I am sure the chosen country is in fact Israel.....
I would love to say Texas, as I was born there, but you know what they say about Texas.. Everything is bigger, so there is no point in me trying to make their egos bigger too.

God would like to live in Australia
but our immigration department won't admit him
because he is mentally ill and a religious fanatic.
I believe he is currently crashing at Mel Gibson's place in California but Mel will evict him soon because he has discovered God is Jewish
