For 5 months now my bf and I have been together, he is so romantic, he does all the little things and makes me feel so loved,he tells me all the time he loves me, we kiss and make out but we don't have sex, he never asks me to, it's not like he can't...you know, because when we make out he gets an erection, but he says we shouldn't rush things. He's not religious or anything, so it's not that, could it be me, is it possible that he loves me but I just don't "turn him on"?

It doesn't have to be any of you. He may just be waiting to get married. Plus, you should be happy he's not rushing things cause that's all most guys want anyways. If things start getting that bad just ask him what's the problem.

There are men out there that feel that if they sleep with someone too soon it could ruin the relationship, however 5 months is a while. Outside of you being a virgin and him feeling it's not the right time, the only advice i can really give you is to just sit him down and explain to him how you are feeling about it and ask him to be completly honest with you as to why he still doesn't want to have sex. There could be a number of reasons, dont conclude that it's you just because of this, otherwise the stress of you thinking this will put a strain on the relationship. If you didn't turn him on sweety he would have left long before now, relax and just talk with him

If you didn't turn him on then he would not get an erection. Surprisingy there are those gentlemen in the world still out there that don't just value waiting and not rushing, but also value waiting until marriage. Perhaps you have one these guys... Sounds like he's a good guy, it sucks if you want more on a physical level and can't get it, but I would also respect his wishes only because it will be that much more special when your time with him does come.

Maybe he is just a nice guy, and does not like to see things rushed into. Maybe he is a virgin. You have been together for 5 months, why don't you just ask him. Ask him if there is some physical reason for now having sex with you, or is he wanting to wait for a deeper emotional commitment to have sex with you.

He might be a virgin or something, perhaps worried about how he'll perform, or perhaps he's had too many relationships based on sex and has watched them all go bad. Who knows.

My personal opinion is that since you're asking here instead of asking him, it's apparent that he's right, whatever his reasoning. You're not ready for sex in your relationship.

It's always about this, isn't it:

"could it be me"

The answer is no. It is not you.

I mean, you can prevent sex, but if it was you preventing it, you'd know that already.

Maybe he's scared? Or nervous? Is he a virgin? Maybe he wants it to be somewhere special.
if you guys are quite close, try talking to him about it.
