You mean you do understand his other paintings? Amazing!

Magritte painted it as a self-portrait. The painting consists of a man in a suit and a bowler hat standing in front of a small wall, beyond which is the sea and a cloudy sky. The man's face is largely obscured by a hovering green apple. Some, however, would argue the presence of the face at all; they believe that the apple represents the loss of identity.

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. (John 14:13) 1st understand that there is ONE God in the Christina religion, 2nd you know there are 3 persons in the Holy Trinity :God the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, but they are all the essence of God. (God is not the name but the substance) All three have existed eternally and their relationship is what we bless ourselves with when we do the sign of the cross "In the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit" ~<3 ~ 8Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” 9Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. 12I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. 14You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

It's a modern take on old religious teachings. Please check out the link I provided below. You should use Wikipedia for almost everything you need information about.

Puppy's answer did not say anything about the painting or Wikipedia until after I posted mine. What a hack.
