The Holy Bible is God's version of history: His Story.
Its God's love letter to me.
It answers every question that will still be important, 1,000 years from now.

It s a wonderful book, it is inspired by God our heavenly Father.
Most people make a judgement on the Bible without really knowing much about it.
All human life is there, there is no glossing over the imperfections of mankind.
The important thing is that it gives us hope - the hope of salvation.
Jesus gave up his life that men and women might be saved from themselves. It is just so wonderful to know that the LORD God has a plan and purpose for mankind.

The Bible is the user's manual for the human being. While it doesn't cover every situation you may find in life, it does give solid principles on which to base our actions. It's also our guidebook to teach us how to live the Christian life "as if" the Gospel were true--because it is.

I think if you answer this question honestly you are likely to be given lots of thumbs up and also lots of thumbs down as people have very strong views on anything that questions their beliefs or non beliefs.
I hope your question fires people up to express their views. I hope their answers are of use to you.

It did mean what I thought I believed in until a couple of months ago. Also, hearing the way Christians judge people on Y/A I really know now how naive I was to believe and they just convinced me by hearing how ignorant and cruel they can be.

Firstly, Man created god not the other way round, as a means of controlling other people. Darwin proved that the Bible is nonsense a long time ago. Organized religion kills more people than cancer. It truly dismays me that people to this day believe this fairy tale dispite the overwhelming evindence that the Bible, Koran etc are works of fiction. Sadly this great man never made it to the White house

It strongly reinforces my view that religious belief is absurd. Its an obvious work of primitive fiction that is either repulsive, utter rambling nonsense or completely irrelevant to todays age. There is nothing prophetic in it whatsoever. It has not predicted any of the societal or technological changes that have taken place since it was written. Thats why it condones slavery, treats women as second class citizens, encourages intolerance of opposing belief systems and refers only to a primitive age.
If it was written by an all knowing god why didnt he put something relevant to today in there? Why no discussion of the impact of air travel on global warming or the development of the Internet or 9/11? Instead of that all you get is donkey travel and talking snakes.
Its obvious primitive nonsense and I doubt that most people who claim to live by it have actually read it.
