My friend is hit in the face with a football during practice. An xray reveals multiple fractures of the bones around an orbit. What does this mean? Pls. name the bones that form margins of the orbit...

As one person already said, the orbit is the area around the eye socket. These include the bones over the eye, as well as unerneath the eye, and near the bridge of the nose. Good luck to your friend. Hope he recovers fully soon.

The orbit is the eye socket as far as I've ever known. ouch.
