Comorbid or dual disorders
Is a medical condition existing simultaneously but independently with another condition in a patient, this could be ADHD with ODD, or Depression with Anxiety etc.

Functional impairment
Is not only physical impairment but it also refers to the person cogitative and communication capacities, which causes problems for the person to function on a "normal" level.

Poor prognosis
Refers to the eventual out come is poor, meaning the condition will become worse or not improve.

Comorbid disorders: two that occur at the same time.
Example: allergy induced astma and allergies.
Functional impairment: something the prevents a person or structure (example, the lungs) from fully functioning as normally would be expected.

For example, someone with allergy induced asthma could not be expected to play ball during hayfever season due to asthma attacks (the functional impairment of breathing part)....

And it should make sense that someone with two disorders isn;t going to do as well as someone with only one.

Co morbid means two conditions at the same time.
Functional impairment means less able to go about your daily life.
Poorer prognosis means the chance of getting well is not as good.
