Of course, you have the legal right to defend yourself if an officer assaults you. Notice the term assault. It is not an assault if an officer uses force on you to make you comply with a lawful demand or in defense of himself or a third party. Be careful, for several reasons. Size is not everything. I can think of several instances where big boys who thought that their size made them invincible got their *** kicked by a cop smaller than they were who happened to know how to handle himself. I have no way of knowing about you. It's always better to not cross the line into a physical altercation. Also, you never fight just one cop. Given a little time you will be swarmed by the whole sector. Thirdly, it's your word against theirs, and you might wind up doing some time even if you were just defending yourself. You have to make the decision at the time it happens. It sounds like there is a history behind your question, and you made a point of mentioning your size. I just hope you are not one of those big guys with something to prove or a bigger chip on your shoulder. You can get hurt too. Seriously, please be careful.

Nope.

Harassment does not fit into the category of a violent crime, so any violence that comes as a result of it cannot be considered a defense, but rather, a very arrestable and prosecutable offense.

The very best defense against police harrassment is to have them wind up realizing just how much a waste of their time it is for them to be harassing you.

Keeping your nose clean and overcoming their childish pursuits go a long way in winning the war of maturity over oh-so-many badge-bearing bullies.

Uh, no, you don't have that right. If you feel you've been unfairly harassed you can get a lawyer. But unless you feel like getting tazed or pepper sprayed, you probably want to be polite and cooperate with the cops. Are you saying that cops are picking on you because you're a tall fat asss? Because I think they prefer skinny stoners as targets.

Depends what you mean by "harrass". It is EXTREMELY rare for a cop to actually harrass you in a way that justifies physical defense. Cops know the rules. But of course if a cop threatens to shoot you with provokation or something, you can defend yourself.

By law you have the right to defend yourself if the integrity of your health is jeopardized. The problem is, should you choose to defend yourself who would win. Big 6'5 327lb man or 5'8 200lb person with gun, nightstick, and a radio that can call more 5'8 200lb people with more guns, nightsticks.
