Each of us goes to the grave with things we failed to get under control. It's part of being human. Regardless of what you've done, no matter how repugnant you think it may be, remember this: God is merciful.
I'm curious: why do you think the end is near?

Ask Jesus to help you overcome the problem with alcohol. He has already forgiven all your sins, and made you righteous in Christ. When God looks at you, He doesn't see your sins anymore, but He sees you wearing the robe of Jesus' righteousness.
Come to Jesus as you are. He has said He will never cast anyone out who comes to Him. (John 6:37)
With God, it is possible to overcome alcohol addiction. You can read a testimony by a Christian from my church in this website who was freed from alcoholism (scroll down to bottom):
http://www.newcreation.org.sg/testimonies/testimonies.htm
You can also listen to the sermons in the website. The word of God will renew your mind concerning who you are in Christ, and that will give you the power to overcome addictions. God loves you and will never give up on you, so don't give up on yourself.
Will pray for you, sister.

Paradoxically; you cannot truly, resolve your alcohol problem without God helping you to do so. No ... God isn't interested in burning you in a "hell" fire forever, either ! Actually; God is very, more interested in saving you ! That is, God wants the best for you now, and for all of eternity. It is you that does not want the best for yourself because you believe the bottle gives you that. Remember the ol' cliche, "either, you are part of the problem or part of the solution"? Well; with God, you will be on the resolution side of the drinking problem. God loves you - wants the best for you- and will help you achieve it too. You don't want God, therefore, He is in no position to give you the best until you want it. You have to go to Him - He is waiting for you to come to Him. If God didn't love you, He would never had you born in the first place. God is really, in the saving business - not the burning business. NOTE: With God ... ALL things are possible. Let go and let God !!!

Thank you dear friend for having the courage to ask this personal question. It shows that you have genuine care for your soul and where you will spend eternity! I also wish to thank you for the opportunity to serve you by answering your question and concern about alcoho straight from the Bible.
There is more to this than meets the eye as is with any bondage of this sort. So I am going beyond the "simple opinion or explanation " of mankind...
In the Old Testament, the Spirit of God resided in the great Tabernacle God had his servants build. In the New Testament and New Covenant, our bodies became a living temple for the Holy Spirit [Spirit of God] to reside in once we repent and recieve Him through being "born again".
The first and most primary concern is to recognize that we are not our own... we were purchased with a great price and that our body is a temple for the Holy Spirit to reside in. Therefore, we should take the best possible care of our body along with not misusing it for immorality.
1 CORINTHIANS 6:19-20 -
19 What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
We know that alcohol, smoking and drugs all can destroy our bodies... So this is definitely abuse. I believe the above scripture speaks for itself. Additionally, all through the Bible one can find numerous instances where drunkeness led to destruction and so on. Here are a few key passages with warnings to reflect on;
ISAIAH 5:22-23 -
22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
(Woe is pronounced upon drunkards).
LUKE 21:34 -
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting [carnality], and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
(hinders awareness and preparation for judgment day)
GALATIONS 5:21 -
Envyings, murderers, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
(prevents man from inheriting the Kingdom of God).
In closing, I would like to say that though these answers might seem harsh or brutally honest, God said them, I didn't. If you would like to contact me for further help with this matter, please feel free to email me at tn.minister@yahoo.com.

Jeremiah 29:11-13
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with "ALL" your heart.

gia, that 'voice' you hear or feeling you have of God thinking you are disgusting, is from the deciever, satan, the enemy no doubt...
and the alcohol, no doubt puts your rational thinking mind far from being found....
but the good news is...that God is gracious, not willing that any should perish in hell, but he will without a doubt judge each of us after we die.....thats his word, and he is not a man that he should lie...we can take his promises to the bank without question....
now, even if you were sober for 20 years that wouldnt get you into heaven....the only way is through belief in Jesus Christ. Realizing that you have broken Gods laws...like the 10 commandments show how each of us have sin....but what is the thing to cleanse you...? how can you stand before a holy God and stand...? is by accepting his forgivenss when you confess you are a sinner, believing JEsus is the son of God and you will be saved....
you dont have to muster up the ability to quit drinking to be acceptable to God....he will do a work in you and give you a new heart, a soft heart the seeks to please God..
girl...hang in there
email me if you wish ok
i'll be praying for you

God accepts us where we are at, just ask Jesus to forgive you for your sins. Ask Jesus to send His holy spirit to dwell within you and to help you overcome this problem. We are all sinners - saved by His gift of grace. You are no worse than those you think are the best. If you have Jesus in your heart he no longer sees your sin - you are pure and holy in His sight. I'm not saying this to you to keep you in sin but that you can be set free from it. I understand how you feel - i was once there. I now have over 25 years of sobriety. Seek the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. He loves you and desires to be with you the rest of your life. Start today, this moment and begin to just ask Him for help. When I first sobered up i had to pray every second, the only thing i knew to pray was "God help Me". He did and has and continues to do so - today my problem is not booze. Today I have other problems that I cry out to God for - and he is faithful. I will be praying for you. : )

Heaven is total inebriation.
Not that I want to encourage you.
Many people are caught in the cycle of alcohol all too often.
But God certainly understands what alcohol does to a person, and what that person goes through in order to give it up. God would never hate His beautiful creation.

Gia:
God does not hate you. The problem is that you have stopped loving yourself and you have created your own hell. The first thing you should do is get help since you have already admitted to a severe alcohol problem. That admission is the first step to healing and recovery.

take a look at a crucifix the next time you get a chance... then understand that that was a showing of love for you. if you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, alcoholism and every sin you've committed or will commit has been washed away by the blood of the lamb.
you won't go to hell because you've committed sin, you'll go to hell because you didn't trust that Jesus blotted out all sin.
