I have not been asked out in about 16 years. (minus online dating). I want to meet a nice man naturally. What about truck stops or diner cafes located off interstate highways? Any single men on the road might want some company? Or, do they want to eat and be left alone? Should I get dressed up and go inside one? What do you think?

bad idea. do you really think you'll have much in common with a truck driver? most of them will probably be attached & will pretend to be single & as they are on the road all the time what kind of a boyfriend will that make? and if they met you at a truckstop then that means they will pick up another chick at the next truck stop if given the chance so aren't likely to be the faithful type. been quite a few serial killers that were truckies too so bear that in mind also! and rapists! they may also mistake you for a prostitute if you go in there "all dressed up". why don't you just join a singles group? if the guys there are awful then you make new single female friends, go out with them & meet guys that way through nights on the town, etc. or dance classes are good too. the last 2 suggestions are how I've met all my past boyfriends since turning 30 and I am more comfortable with that than meeting guys online. watch thelma & louise, that will put you off truckstops!

Well, if you just want to be a pick up, that's the place to go. I am sure the word will get around and you will meet all kinds of nice men who want company.

Heck no. Most of the men that come through truck stops have been on the road way to long and thier only have one thing on thier mind and I think we all know what that is.

No. You could surely be mistaken for a prostitute though. Get out in your community. Go to public ice skating, the library, community events. Ask your (male and female) friends if they know any single men.

I'm sure they're great places if you want to catch STDs, possibly get pregnant by some guy you'll never see again, and be viewed as a hooker. Stay away from those places. You can't be that desperate.

The only relationships you'll find at truck stops are measured in miles and not a lot of miles at that.
Try the online dating services - you'll have more luck there.

lol what about that seemed appealing to you? Whats wrong with meeting a man in a bank (may have money), a library/bookstore (intelligence?), or you could try places that you enjoy going yourself or have things that you like. (like the park or a coffee shop or something) Good luck. :)

most truckers are married. but they like a little fun on the side. try another venue if you want a real realtionship.
