Okay, I am in a large dilemma and hope someone, anyone reads this quickly. I have a last minute class presentation to do. I have to talk about a hobby of mine for six minutes to the class and incorporate a visual aid that cannot be any type of powerpoint or computer related. I have decided to choose my hobby of digital photography. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to present it. The only help the professor was is giving us the guideline we must state what we are going to talk about, and then tell how it relates to you. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ELSE TO TALK ABOUT FOR 6 mins. Does anyone have any idea on what I should do or incorporate into the presentation. Please respond asap.

You could talk about what makes the picture look good to you. Also the technical details behind taking a good picture. Lighting, background image, etc.

There is so much in photography, it'll take more than 6 minutes to present it all.

You should talk about the elements that goes into making a great image, and have examples of each. Talk about composition, color, contrast, texture, rule of thirds, emphasis, direction, and lighting. Choose how much you want to get into each.

You could also talk about the camera itself, such as features. Like shutter speed, aperture, and ISO, and how they all interact with each other.

Hope this helped.

ok digital photography.....ok here try this where have you gone with that camera? have you went traveling places? graduation, birthday, christmas, thanksgiving, any type of parties. Talk about those places. Say your photography holds all your good memories. Any places you travel to did you take pics of scenery. What has this hobby taught you? Just keep thinking, here is a possible format for your speech

1. Introduction- show your camera, pass around pictures, where you bought the camera and why?

Than have a thesis statement to outline the body of your speech such as:
I enjoy this hobby because, it shows me my family, friends, and places around the world.

If you are stumped just make up places you went to. In my college speech class I made up tons of stuff just to make my speech seem interesting.

This can eat up 6 mintues easy.

Discuss auto focus compared to manual setting of
speed with f stop on a digial camera.

Object is to prove field of depth in a picture can be controlled.

requires you take at least 3 pictures of the same 2 things.
And print out samples.

Auto setting (take picture of a close up (marco)and a normal
close up.

Take same 2 pictures using fast shutter speed and wide f stop

Take same two pictures using low shutter speed and narrow f stop.

You should be able to "see" in the printed pictures what is in focus and out of focus as a field of depth.

Rate each one for value of "art" and discuss the need due to speed pictures (sports) vs. still pics (portraits)

I gave a few presentations on portrait lighting and used one of those million watt hand held lights with diffusion material across it to demonstrate on someone the different lighting styles such as short side, broad side, butterfly, Rembrandt, etc.
