Sounds like you set things up in a workgroup. This is a management headache at best, in part for the very thing you're experiencing. Each computer has to maintain it's own separate accounts list. In order to access one, you have to enter the user name and password for an account maintained by that system. If you want to make things easier, you setup a domain and join each workstation to the domain. Then, from there, you setup a single user account for each user on the server ONLY. Now they can sit down at any computer, log on using their newly created server based accounts, and the server knows who they are - no more password prompt. For instructions on setting up a domain, see:

Note: you would be foolish to try this in a production environment. Setup a test system first and try it on that. If you don't have the spare hardware, install it in a virtual machine - see www.microsoft.com/virtualpc

Server 03 is a actual OS.. in step with XP. I ran it for some months and that i hated it. My brother gave me a replica of XP professional and that i've got no longer regarded back. i could particularly deploy XP. Thats a super workstation different than being a Gateway... workplace 07 works on XP, so it is going to artwork on Server 03. I have been given it to artwork on WinME... and ME became right into a steaming pile of crap.

I think you click> start>control panel>user accounts>change an account>administrator>change my password.
Type the current password on top bar.
Then do not type anything else on the rest , just click > change password.
That's all

If you're connecting to it via Remote Desktop I believe you have to have a password. Check the control panel under remote desktop to see if you can disable it. I use win2k3 but dont' recall those details
