I struggle with Excel. There has to to be a way to convert minutes to billable/decimal time. Can someone help me please?
Example: Say I work on a project for 18 minutes. I need to convert that to 'point' whatever hours to bill a client. I want to have a column with the billable hours (then I have the second column with a description of the work done). How do I do that?

Thanks in advance! I have tried to figure it out on my own with no luck!

in cell A1 put your time in hours, ie 1 (60 minutes) 1.5 (90 minutes) 1.25 (75 minutes)

in cell B1 put "=A1*22" (but without the quotes)

B1 will be your hours (in A1) multiplied by $22 per hour

Right click on B2 and select FORMAT CELLS

Change the cell's format to CURRENCY

This will show the output of B2 with your preferred currency

Hope this helps.

email me if you need a hand with it. I like excel and am happy to send you a basic spreadsheet if you tell me what you want it to do.

Well if you have it in minutes and you want it in hours, just divide by 60...

Let A1 = Billabable Minutes
Let A2 = =A1/60 billable hours
