So, how can those Senators and Reps etc. keep a straight face on TV and pretend otherwise? Do you really want it stopped right now or not? If not when do you want it stopped. It was the employers all along, folks. The instant solution is plain and simple. No pay, no more running the border and playing games.

Yes, hit the vile employers where it hurts - they risk jail terms, confiscation of assets, including personal assets, including their homes and bank accounts. The taxpayer is paying for the healthcare, too. The illegals will find a way home rather than get picked up one by one, jailed in border holding tents and incorporated with the double fences. But first and foremost the instant, simple solution is arrest all suspicious employers and hold them with no bond while government agents and local police do the investigation. line up special prosecuters to put them in prison. this must set an example, folks. the rest will be running like scared rabbits. prosecute them until they are stripped of their illgotten rewards. use their fines to help pay for returning the misled mexican illegals back to which crossing they choose. Insist Mexican government cooperate or cancel NAFTA. Show some gd backbone, now. Hold each candidate's feet to fire on this one. Let that guide your vote.

I agree with you 100%.

Treat employers who hire these criminals like you do drug dealers. Confiscate the property they used during the commission of their crime and send the criminals to prison for a long time.

When the government confiscates a Swift plant and their CEO goes to a real prison for 15 years I bet the rest of the companies would wake up and discover that Americans will in fact do certain jobs.

As for the naysayers who claim that it is physically imposible to deport 15 million people, it will no longer be necessary to deport anyone. They came here for economic reasons and they will bring themselves somewhere else for economic reasons if we take their incentive away.

ABSOLUTELY! This is such a simple solution and the Washington weasels just won't do it!

If an employer is fined/jailed if they hire an illegal alien criminal, they will think twice before hiring one. This means there are no jobs for the illegals. Without jobs, they will self deport!

Along with cracking down on employers, we need the wall and to have the borders closed. Some, here on Yahoo, have suggested a moat along the boarder - with hungry alligators in it. (Maybe a bit over the top for a suggestion but it's a nice touch!)

EDIT: Hey, Homer, the current problem isn't just the millions of jobs that are being stolen from citizens. The problem WE are shelling out BILLIONS each year to take care of the 30+ million illegals. They are not benefiting our economy. They are destroying it. This doesn't include all the drugs, diseases and increased crime because of the illegals.

Definitely, what else would they come here for? No job.. no money... no money... poor economy... poor economy... no more Wal-mart, Mcdonalds, Kfc, pizza hut, dominos, home depot, sears, burger king, jc penny, and the rest of the imported goods from the U.S., that make up 75% of Mexico's total imports every year. That's right... 75% of Mexico's imports come from the US. eventually the money that is being sent back to Mexico by the "illegals" won't be there to buy all those goods... and well you know... no more happy meals for Panchito.. So hell yeah.. send all the illegals back and let's start sending more jobs to China and India.. because unfortunately... labor here will become too expensive.. and well it's cheaper in China right? Now don't get me wrong I don't approve of a free for all.. I don't approve of illegal immigration, but there has to be an efficient solution to this "problem". I just can't believe that we can fly into outer space.. yet we can't solve something like this.

It would throw a huge monkey wrench in the illegals thought about crossing over the border like a pig in slop looking for a chiken foot! Would slow it down but to stop it the criminals need to fear us and that can be arranged like quick if you all wanna cooperate! Simple solutions are at hand when we all just say the word!

I say let's get on with it, and stop pandering to them. However, as long as the ACLU, the AFL-CIO, and a San Fransisco Judge remain in the way of enforcing our laws... What do we do until then?

It is already illegal to hire illegals. Back in 1986, when that law was passed, we were told that it would solve all the problems. It didn't. Now you are saying the same thing all over again.

No you have to have massive deportations to end the illegal alien invasion. It can be done. President Eisenhower deported 1.5 million illegal aliens in 1 year. It was called operation kcabtew.

Graduated fines leading to arrests with continued disobedience to the law would be sufficient.
