Will I ever get used with this palatal expander?

I just got them to day & I'm having trouble swallowing food (saliva etc) & I'm becoming a lisper freak! I need answers from people that have experience them. PLEASE HELP!!

It took my daughter about 2 weeks to get used to it and be able to talk normally. She hated it but luckily she only had to have it for a few months.

YOU WILL ADAPT, IT TAKES GETTING COMFORTABLE TO IT.
