well there's dishonorable discharge (which is the worst i believe) and a few descriptions in between as well. it's not difficult to get kicked out of the military. there's a pretty short leash on misbehaving, although 2cd chances are not unheard of. the higher the rank the higher the chance a misdeed will result in getting kicked out. i knew someone who got kicked out for smoking weed a 2cd time, and the repercussions for the first offense were brutal. you have to obey your superiors and obey the law. violate either one of those and you could easily be out.

drugs, DUI/DWI, Fraternization, theft of gov't property, being sloppy with secured documents/equipment, in lieu of Courtsmartial, Fraudulent enlistment..the list goes on....
