It's simple math. Calories eaten in one day vs. calories burned in one day. If you eat more than you burn you gain weight. If you eat less than you burn you lose weight. You burn calories in your daily activities, not just exercising. No one can tell you exactly how many calories will burn with out knowing your weight and whether or not you live a sedentary, moderate, or active daily lifestyle. You can however find a calculator online that will calculate how many calories you need to eat every day to stay the same weight, based on your current weight. Then, you eat less than that and you will lose weight depending on how much less you eat. It is unhealthy for a woman to eat less than 1200 calories a day. It is unhealthy for a man to eat less than 1500 calories a day. Drinking lots of water really does help in so many ways! Good luck!

It depends on your metabolism. By cutting back on portions of food and eating healthy you can lose weight. Dieting is enhanced with exercise. I lost about 15 pounds in a three month period without exercise and have maintained that weight since going off the diet. Women usually don't lose as much weight while dieting.

your question is too vague. how much weight you could lose only through manipulating the diet depends on your current level of fitness, your body composition (amount of muscle and fat) and how much weight you desire to lose
regardless of the body weight, the human body is not designed to be sedentary. so a person that doesn't exercise will never truly be healthy regardless of what their body weight is. how healthy would a horse be if it didn't run or get exercise? how about the fish that did not swim? or the monkey that did not climb?
it may sound rediculous but the principle is the same. all animals are designed to be active when there is no activity there is nothing but a negative effect on the metabolism and health.

Of course you can, how do you think people who are sick and bedridden who lose their appetites and don't eat for a while end up losing weight?
It will be a bit harder and slower but you still can. Unless you really starve yourself. It's all about caloric restriction.
Diet is THE SINGLE most important factor in weight loss.
Not exercize.

definitely... losing weight is all about having a negative calorie balance at the end of each day/overall. An easy way to figure it out is to multiply your goal weight by 10, and shoot for that amt of calories/day. so, say you want to weigh 130, you would eat 1300 Cal. a day. And obviously eating healthy will help you get more nutrients in those calories, so your body will metabolize better.
Dieting definitely will help you drop wt. faster, or at least i has for me in the past.

You can loose more weight with just dieting than exercise alone. Ive tried it.. I ate normally what i usually do and exercised but hardly lost it.. When I really watch my diet, i loose it faster and more of it as well.
Try to sneak in exercise... Its good for you.

You need exercise to burn calories off! Unless you are planning on starving yourself, you need exercise! Start by walking, climbing stairs, build up to thirty minutes of exercise every day. Stop being a sitter and get to moving those muscles, tone them up! Get off that junk food, and be active!

Hard to say exactly how much you could lose in 3 months. I would at least try walking 3x a week to help tone and strengthen your muscles. Healthy weight loss is about 2 lbs a week.

It depends on your weight, your metabolism and your current fat/muscle ratio. Usually, fat people lose weight faster.
But 3 months should see you lose mayb 4-5 kgs.
