I asked the question recently, but it was deleted. They said it wasn't a question!?! (If you answered it the first time, thank you. You don't have to answer it this time unless you just want to shout it out!)

Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, died on the cross to save us from our sin, rose the third day to conquer death for us, ascended to heaven to prepare a place for us, and is coming back to get all who believe this?

Jesus is the ONLY way of salvation from the punishment of sin?

Baptism is not required for salvation, but it is an essential first step in a person's walk with God and in order to show sincerity in what a person believes?

Jesus is one of the three manifestations of the one and only living God, 100% man and 100% God. The other two are God, the Father/Creator and God, the Holy Spirit?

The Bible is the inerrant, infallible, eternal, living Word of God?

satan is a real being?

Do you believe ALL of these statements Why?? Or why not? (Biblical reasons, plz)

Ebidmele:
Where does that leave Matthew 28:9, Galatians 4:6, John 10:30, Ephesians 2:18, and 1 John 5:7?

Peaches:
All people are born of water. They float in it in their mother's womb.

We are born of the Spirit when we accept the gift of salvation from Jesus Christ.

Even though some of your statements are not necessarily correct, I would think that just about any Protestant denomination would allow you to become a church member based on what you said. I can't figure out why a question like this would be deleted from Yahoo answers. Anyway, I would have to qualify some of your statements as far as correctness goes.

- "... died on the cross to save US" -- who is "us"?
- yes, Jesus is the only way of salvation. He fulfilled the law.
- I disagree with you that baptism is an "essential first step" but is not required for salvation. It cannot be unnecessary and yet be a commandment of Christ, and therefore absolutely necessary, at the same time. I would go with absolutely necessary, but the only way to make it faith-based rather than works based, would be to view baptism as a covenant between God and his people, and to view this rite as a mark of God, not a personal effort to attain heaven.
- Yes, the Trinity is a mystery, this is absolutely the implication of Scripture taken as a whole.
- I also believe that the Bible is inerrant, although it doesn't have to be taken so literally that we can cherry pick verses to mean what we want.
- I also believe that Satan is a real being, although he is given a larger perspective in the New Testament that in the Old.
- Not sure what you're getting at with biblical reasons being needed for my answers. If you are wanting me to cherry pick, I will not. You should know your Bible well enough to not need any proof texts from me. It should be readily evident.

"Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, died on the cross to save us from our sin, rose the third day to conquer death for us, ascended to heaven to prepare a place for us, and is coming back to get all who believe this?"
Yes.

"Jesus is the ONLY way of salvation from the punishment of sin?"
Yes.

"Baptism is not required for salvation, but it is an essential first step in a person's walk with God and in order to show sincerity in what a person believes?"
Baptism by water is not required. Baptism by the Spirit - whether you feel it or not is required, in fact it is promised.

"Jesus is one of the three manifestations of the one and only living God, 100% man and 100% God. The other two are God, the Father/Creator and God, the Holy Spirit?"
It can be said that way without meandering too far from the truth, I believe.

"The Bible is the inerrant, infallible, eternal, living Word of God?"
NO!!!! The Bible is the inspired word of God. The Inerrant, Infallible, Eternal, Living Word of God sat down at the right hand of the Father.

"satan is a real being?"
Yes.

I believe in all these statements because I just told you what I believe.

I believe that the Bible says what I just told you.

yes, i believe these statements..

Jesus was sent to this world by God because He loved us so much (look up John 3:16) Jesus died for us to redeem us from the bondage of sin.

Jesus is the only way, the truth and the life (John 14:6)
we are saved if we accept Jesus as our personal savior and we became a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). but its not only about accepting Jesus as our savior, we also should be testimony to others and share Jesus to them so that their souls could also be saved..

people think that by doing good deeds, he can be saved. but it's not like that. Faith and not by good works.. (romans 10:9-10)

Jesus also said that one must be born again before he can enter into the Kingdom of God(John 3:3, John 3:7)
being born again doesn't mean you have to be reincarnated or whatever.. it means that we should live a new life like the time when we were born (living a new life out of the mother's womb)

Jesus is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient

and yes, satan is real(1 peter 5:8) and hell is real..

Jesus wants all people to be saved that's why there's the Bible for us to read and to know the truth..

John 14:1-7
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if [it were] not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Yes, I agree with all your statements. Why? Because they are Scripturally sound....and I believe the Bible to be the inerrant, infallible, eternal, living word of God. :)

God bless you sister!

First statement -- yes
Jesus died to save us ALL from the punishment we deserve, which is death. He rose and ascended to heaven and will return.

Second statement -- yes
Jesus IS the only way of salvation from the punishment of death (sin = death)

Third statement -- not "essential"
The answer you get here will depend on which denomination each answerer is from. I believe that you must repent (feel such sorrow for sin or fault as to be disposed to change one's life for the better) and follow Christ to be saved. To 'follow' in this case means to give allegiance to and, most especially, to imitate Him. Baptism something that we do to publicly declare our change of heart. It is important but not essential.

Fourth Statement -- I wouldn't describe it like that, but yes
I don't know that my analogy is the most appropriate, but I think about the 'trilogy' as being like a triangle. Take away one corner and you no longer have a triangle at all. Just a few lines. So it is with God. There is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, and together they make up the entity we know as God. You can't take away one and get a whole. Hmmm... maybe that's only understandable from inside my head... oh well, onwards.

Fifth Statement -- yes
God is infallible and the Bible is His Word.

Sixth Statement -- Real? yes
Physical? not that I'm aware of. He can affect the world.

Cause the Bible tells me so! And Bible is the inerrant, infallible, eternal, living Word of God!!! As you said.

It is a question, because you ask: Do you believe and why not! I don't see why they have erased it.

I believe almost all of what you stated the only error is we MUST be baptized in the Name of Jesus for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38 This is what the apostles taught and John the baptist his baptism was of repentance he said in Matt 3:11. You have been taught fairly well. The walk with god is revelatory, God will reveal things to us as we continue to seek Him. But you must be born of the water and of the spirit.. sounds pretty necessary to me.

Yes to all! it would take ages for me to go over why i believe what i believe. Mostly because I grew up in a christian home and my dad took theology as a minor and so i grew up being discipled as a christian and it is part of who i am. Also, the bible is proved to be inerrant, infallible, eternal, living Word of God because of all scientific proof that is present. There is a book called Case for Faith by Lee Strobel. I would recommend reading it. It is the sequal to the book Case for Christ. Read that one too! It answers most of these questions and gives proofs. Lee Strobel is a formal legal editor for the Chicago tribune. His awards include Illinois highest honors for both investigative reporting and community service journalism from United Press International. In his books, Stobel goes and interviews christian Phylosophers, Scientists, Historians, and Archeologists about their beliefs in christianity and asks them to proove it...and they do a fine job too!

Molly you have stated the "Good News" of the gospel beautifully and I can add nothing. The reason is; I don't only believe in God, like Abram I believe God and am fully persuaded that he is able to perform that which he has spoken.

Yes I agree 100% with all these statements.
Why?? I have lived on both sides of the spiritual fense, if you will, and I have found after 42 years (17 of which were wasted on serving Satan) and checking out several different Religions that Christianity is the only true path to Heaven.
