Cause when you are getting it, you don't know how much it is gonna hurt after it is over. LOVE IS GREAT WHEN IT IS GOING GREAT, but when it goes sour......
it is very painful, especially if you truly love that person. If you don't care about that person....
you just move on. But yeah, love does hurt...when it goes bad, I agree!!!

Love doesn't hurt, it is beautiful. Relationships can be hurtful and how you relate to other people can be hurtful. Relationships are never perfect, but if you put love first, you can overcome the little things. So many people get frustrated and then end up trading one problem for another one.

Imagine how lonely life would be if you felt no love.
Without bad times you can never appreciate the good. If you were always happy, having never felt sadness, (always laughing) then you would be in a fairy tale. You would then be lonely because nobody could relate to you, as you could never relate to them.

Think of a family member or friend that you love. Now imagine if something happened to them, and you lost them. Naturally, you would feel grief. But if someone could grant you a wish, to turn back time and erase all memories of having ever known that person. Would you want that?

It is better to have loved and to have lost than to have never loved at all. Love is what keeps us human.

Loving somebody is giving them the power to hurt you, but trusting them not to. The problem is that not everybody is worth that trust. Some people are abusive, some will only use you, and others will fail to return your love.

From personal experience:

I've been in love once. When I was with her, I felt like nothing could go wrong. Even when something did, it seemed insignificant. I felt that as long as we had each other, we could get through anything. Any insignificant conversation with her could brighten my day.

Then she left (in a fairly nasty way). Obviously, I was upset, but I couldn't fall back on the armor that I had been using for the previous 2 years, in fact, thinking about it made it worse. 1.5 years later, I still miss her, and despite what she did, I would have a hard time saying no if she asked me to take her back.

You want the scientific answer? because we love the endorphins that are produced in the brain. Then there is the social aspect, we are not solitary animals. People who live solitary lives die younger, thats a proven statistic. Love hurts because of the expectation/disappointment ratio. We love and expect it in return, we stumble through the art of communication and hope for the best. But because we're human we get let down usually without realizing we probably let the other person down too.

They want it because it's good and gives them joy. They say it hurts because they are doing it wrong. Or they are pretending something is love when it is not.

Such as loving someone who does not reciprocate the feelings. Calling that love is pretty silly. Why on earth would you want someone who doesn't want you? Sort of like wanting a pair of size five shoes for your size eight feet, isn't it? Won't be much fun or much use if you do get it!

Love does hurt. It really does hurt a lot sometimes. If you do not love then you can never get the advantages and the good rewards of love. People do love because its in there nature that is what they have learned. Loving people has good benefits as well. A lot of things hurt but people still do them anyway. You have to do it anyway even if it hurts.

I am in love. I have been in love with the same woman for over thirty years. Love does not hurt. Mistaking something less for love can hurt. Loosing love can hurt. But love does not hurt. The idea is just plain silly. Would you say normally having enough to eat makes hunger hurt?

Love is a bit of everything, including hurt! Why do people want so much of it? Because it also includes joy, tenderness, passion, ecstasy, and yes, even sex, and much much more!! The hurt is mainly when you've experienced love, then all of a sudden it's not there. Absence of LOVE is something horrible, believe me. I haven't been loved (except by my mom), and sometimes I feel maybe I haven't loved enough! We must go to the source of all love...GOD!!! JESUS died on the cross out of LOVE for us.. Want more hurt than that? Want more LOVE than that? LOVE does go to extremes doesn't it?

Love is a wonderful feeling. Love itself does not hurt. The pain comes when love is confused with something else or one person has a change of heart.

It only hurts when it is going wrong. When it is good, it is the best thing in the world. There is another saying: It is better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all.
