I have lost a motivation to do school work. These days, I just force myself to complete it...but that's not going to last long. I've met so much disappointment in my life, I am upset. And I think I might be somewhat depressed. I'm overweight and I just joined Weight Watchers. But how do get inspired again? Now, I just do my homework mindlessly. Part of the reason is because I'm failing this one particular math class; for some reason, every other subject is a A or B. Just that one subject, math. I get tutored by a teacher twice a week. What should I do?

Most important question:
How do I get motivation back?

I want to stay-drug free and not lie. Lying has gotten me into trouble. I used to be a bad kid who turned things around and I don't want to fall back into my old ways. No drugs, thank you

Your life is motivation it self......Try to get out as much as possible.......being around others lifts your spirits.....Try laughing........laughing is the most curable thing for depression.....Practice it......laugh.......then frown......laugh ....then frown......but do this every day see how you feel....make yourself laugh histarically.......then you'll really start to laugh......Being over weight is still beautiful....your working on it by going to weight watchers.....Find things you like to do....and GO OUT and do it......Once you lift your spirits the rest will come including your grades.....

Can you get a tutor for math by someone else if it isn't working with the teacher? That could make a big difference. Also look at what the schooling leads to and what you need to do to get the job you want. And, you know that drugs will make your situation worse. Go talk with someone if you think you are depressed. Good luck!

Ok first off drugs isnt the answer. I have seen what it does and it no fun and it hurt people around you i know .I have been around it Most people who turn to drugs tun into a bum.To keep yourself motivated make a list of all the things you want write it down and write down what you have to do to achive it . The only one holding you down is yourself . If your failing math find some one who cares for you and want to see you come out on top and ask them to help you with math . finish school and go to collage and make a nice living for yourself in the end you will have more respect for yourself ...I hope this help

Please ask your school to help you place you in the correct math class.
They need to test you on how you learn. My daughter was having the same problem as you, she was very discouraged with school, hated to do homework, or even go to school.
The school helped her out a lot after they found out how she learned. The school knows that children learn different ways....
math was the major problem for my daughter but once the school knew how she learned...she was placed in the correct math class, fewer students, tutored and after one year of this, she has gotten herself out of the classes where she was getting a lot of help to put her back on track and now she does very very well in math and is a happier child.
Go to your counselor sweety and talk to her (him) about your problems......if they don't 'hear' you.........talk to your mom and dad and see if they can go to your school and talk to them about getting help for you.
It worked for my daughter and i know it can work for you.
As far as your weight....call a pal that is in the same weight program to talk about when you are having trouble sticking to the program. They do have that don't they? Someone you can lean on?

I'm glad you have the good sense not to rely on drugs. I would suggest setting some goals for yourself. I recommend you to read the book I listed in sources. It's invaluable to getting on track with your goals ambitions. You can probably pick it up at any major book store.

I understand what its like... I can only tell you to do things for yourself, never for the sake of other people. Challenge yourself to lose x amount of lbs, and promise yourself that you are going to ace your next math test... go for it...
and remember, even aristotle believed that the highest human purpose was happiness... so live to be happy, its what we were born to do.
