Prices are different at every office. I would possibly call around to check and see if other offices have the same prices. Also another option that may last longer than veneers (generic term for Lumineers) is to get Porcelain Crowns. These are usually more expensive than veneers but if it's already costing $1000 per tooth, I'm not so sure it will be that drastic of a price difference. Crowns are permanent (you won't have to possibly have them redone down the road) and involve filing down your natural teeth to place the crowns over them. Dental insurance may even help to pay for the crowns (you'd have to ask your dentist about that). If you discuss this with your dentist, be sure to ask about porcelain jacket crowns NOT porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns. PFMs (porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns) have a layer of metal under the porcelain which can cause your teeth to appear darker and the metal could show at the top if your gums recede. Hope this helped. Remember too that these are YOUR TEETH. If you're happy with how they are now, you don't need to change them at all.

Lumineers are $925 in our office....
The lab fee is somewhere are $230 each
Usually the overhead in a dental clinic is about 60%....
So, if you pay $1000 each and have 2 apppointments ..... 1 for impressions; one 1 to seat the veneers
Everything in the office as far as supplies, burs, impression material, anesthetic, swabs is very over priced... Costs have to be passed on.

Seems like your dentist wants to make a little cash off you. Are you happy with your teeth? Because he really shouldn't be saying anything unless you bring it up. I mentioned to my dentist I wasn't happy with my smile, and she gave me my options. But I asked about it.

If they're a little uneven, why not braces or Invisalign? Much cheaper and you're using the teeth you got. Seems like what I'd do.

YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT IS COSTS THE DENTIST ABOUT $150 PER TOOTH TO MAKE THESE, THE REST IS ALL PROFIT FOR THE DENTIST.
LUMINEERS ARE WORTH THE MONEY HOWEVER.
