My girlfriend had applied online for macy's job and they emailed her telling her to come to an interview.however they didnt say she had to dress professionally.when she got there they didnt let her go to the interview because she had on jeans. The managers or anybody didnt see her,the security guard at the door told her about the dress code.
She is real mad now and I told her she might be able to re-apply online.
Can she reply online or will they disregard her as soon as they seen her application again? Is there any chance that she can get another interview if she re apply.
What should she do
if she does re apply how long should she wait or how many days to re apply?

Any time you have an interview you have to look your best. It was naive of your girlfriend to think she could just show up in jeans. Sorry to say, but if she's mad at anyone, she should be mad at herself.

Most companies keep track of people they interview. It is unlikely they will accept her resume online. Remember that the same hiring manager will see her resume and remember her. Best to try another department store. This time she should be prepared for the interview.

But did she get Macy's Job b/c if she did then I don’t think she needs to re-apply. She probably just needs to talk to the person who interviewed her. However, if she didn't get the job after her interview, then she shouldn't apply again for a while.

She should have known to dress professionally in the first place. I wouldn't give her a second chance, but you can try reapplying anyways. I was recently hired at Macy's, I know they keep track of applicant info.

I suggest that she goes in person, dressed professionally, and submits her application at the store personally. This way, her application will definitely be seen.
