marijuana (weed)?

Question

why make marijuana illegal when it grows from the mother earth its not like crack you don't have to cook marijuana before you smoke it. marijuana is likely no more harmful than currently legal drugs such as tobacco and alcohol let me know what you think of this

tobacco grows from mother earth as does marijuana they give you marijuana to smoke if you have cancer

drinking alcohol people fight when they are drunk they drive there car's and could kill someone smoking weed you don't hear this person kill a family while driving high

You are absolutely right. The only two things that you can find in medical journals about marijuana is that it might have a negative effect on your short term memory and that it may be psychologically addictive, but so are cigarettes, food, sugar, etc. Once the government figures out the way to tax it, it will become legal. Many things that the government can't make any money off of is illegal. I guess it's a good thing in a way. You don't want to put your local dealer out of busines do you???

You made a good point i 100% agree with you. The thing is though the reason the United States wont let marijuana be legalized is due to the fact they wont make a big profit. Tobbaco makes a big profit because it cant just be grown in a house or outside , you have to have acres to grow tobbaco so to smoke you have to buy the tobbaco from them. Plus the states believe in the "Gateway Drug" theory and it is still being debated with other theories now and hopefully legalization wont be to long away :)

In Colorado they passed a law that a person can have a ounce of weed in there home for personal reason but can't be out of the house. Good q but is a drug still. And tobacco an alchohol are age limit

That's exactly it. Pharmaceuticals and government would have a difficult time making money off of it if legal. As is, the government at least does quite well with the fines and legal property theft it uses. A harmless plant that could bring enjoyment to people instead causes our prisons to be clogged and allows violent criminals (that do not get mandatory sentences) out early. DISGUSTING!

There are a lot of harmful things that grow from the Earth. Just because something comes from the Earth doesnt mean its good to put in your body or interact with. Sharks come from the Earth but would you like to swim with one? As for the tobacco and alchol. tobacco has thus far avoided being banned because it is less harmful that marajuana, and because several states rely or relied on growing it for their economy. Alchol was banned during prohibition but it was found that banning it caused more problems then it solved.

Yeah yeah-wrongs making a right--the thing is, it can actually be abeneficial drug--and I don't smoke it! I think that if I can go out and buy a cocktail, or have a beer in my home, then I should be able to have some marijuana, too. Have you ever seen anyone fight while high on the stuff? no. What about while drunk? ALL THE TIME!! And just think about the money to be made growing, distributing, marketing.....We're stupid to have ever outlawed it!

There is no such person as mother earth, and just because a substance grows naturally, does not mean you should ingest it.
