Interesting thought, and I'm not opposed to the suggestion but... what purpose would it serve?

(edit) Wait a minute - I got a thumbs down? What did I say that anyone would think was such a lousy idea? I was trying to get more information by asking what the point would be.

Testament means covenant. The division has to do with the Old Covenant (under Abraham) and the New Covenant (under Jesus). Besides, it isn't just about greek or hebrew because parts of the bible were also written in Chaldean (as in most of the book of Daniel) and Aramaic.

The Holy Bible. Written by inspired men of God. It has been proven accurate historically, archeology, prophecy and by changed lives. Written over a period of 1400 years by 40 different men of various backgrounds and areas of the then known world. The first part is before Jesus and the latter is after the advent of Jesus. The scriptures quoted by Jesus are from the Old Testament.

The Old Testament of the Bible basically chronicles the time before the birth of Jesus. The New Testament is a biblical history of time after the birth of Jesus.

Interesting point. What you point out would be slightly more accurate, considering that the Book of Genesis contains 4 testaments (another word for covenant: Adam, Noah and Abraham) and that the "Old Testament" or covenant does not begin until Exodus

Why not Hebrew Scriptures and Christian Scriptures. These categories would be more specific to the content and purpose.

It should be called the Word of God. The OT is our school master, foreshadowing what’s to come. In fact, if you’re sharp enough, you can almost teach all of the NT from the OT.

For example, there is more written about the millennium in Ezekiel , beginning Chapter 40 to the end of the book, than there is in Revelation.

No, it should be only the testimony of Jesus the Christ and that of His witness John, all other books other than Daniel, are not of God the Father, they are of or influenced by Satan.

"O' fools and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken,..."

"All them (Moses and the Prophets) that came before me are thieves and robbers,..."

"Moses gave you not that bread from heaven,..."

"For the law was given by Moses, byt grace and TRUTH came by Jesus Christ, no man has seen God at any time."

Jesus calls Moses and the prophets liars, theives and robbers.

Jesus said concerning the "New Testament" whosoever heareth and doeth these sayings of mine is liken unto a man who built his house on a rock.

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. John 14:21-24
