The line between religion and cult can be fuzzy. In the end you still have a group of people who believe some odd thing that some guy said in hopes of having their soul saved. Is Christianity a religion or a cult? Is Mormonism a religion or a cult? Is Scientology a religion or a cult? Is the Heaven's Gate group that committed mass suicide in San Diego a religion or a cult? In the end, the distinction is really just a matter of opinion, in other words the difference is entirely subjective.

No, not all religions are cults. Though the standard definiton of the word is somewhat applicable.
cult: n. 1. a system of religious worship or ritual. 2. devoted attachment to a person or principle etc. 3. a sect
Though a cult, by a more modern definiton or understanding of the word, is basically an organisation centred around some person, or thing, as the object of worship.

*edit* roman soilder brings up a good point. All that he mentioned are indeed 'cults' except Christianity. THOUGH it was labeled as such from it's early origins. Vaildation between the old and new testaments over all in terms of accuracy and subject continuity un-classified it as such.

Occult only means hidden, it has no satanic or evil value to it. Yes they are all based on secret knowledge that is hidden from the masses, such as the fact that the bible is based upon simple astronomy, and basic astrology, and Jesus is nothing more than the SUN.
